You can estimate the weight of weanlings, yearlings or horses older than one year old. We have found it useful to determine -The amount of feed to provide our horses -Whether the horse float is within towing limits -How much dewormer to give our horses Basically any other situations where a weight estimate is good enough to make a decision.
