*You must own a Synology NAS to run this app* DS cam allows you view cameras set up on your DiskStation wherever a network connection is available. Stream live view in real-time, control your cameras or just search and play any event recording. For users who do not own a Synology DiskStation, you can also access any authorized IP camera directly and stream its live view on DS cam. To use DS cam, you need to upgrade your DiskStation to DSM 3.1 and onwards. With DS cam, you can -Stream live view and replay events recorded in MJPEG, H.264, MPEG4 formats. -Live view multi-channel simultaneously for MJPEG cameras managed by your Surveillance Station. -Take snapshots and utilize PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) function during live-view (“Home” button available with latest Surveillance Station 6.0-2636) -Receive event notifications on your iPhone/iPad -Search events by date and time. -Supports HTTPS for secure connection -Encrypted login over HTTP without SSL (DSM 4.0 and onwards) -Requires iOS 5.0 and onwards. (*iPod touch 1st and 2nd generations and iPhone 3G cannot upgrade to iOS 5.0, and will not be able to run DS cam) Certain performance issues on specific cameras will be fixed with a future update of the Surveillance Station package.
