He studied in Great Britain, where he acquired his degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Manchester, England, in 1978.Having completed his research on fluid mechanics, he acquired his PhD in 1982. He has taught fluid mechanics and Alternative Forms of Energy at the Technological Educational Institute of Piraeus.In 1985, he started working for the Public Power Corporation (PPC) as a development engineer at the Department of Alternative Energy Forms, on issues concerning Renewable Energy Sources and the environment.
