What’s New?Digimarc Discover now identifies digital watermarks within audio in addition to printed material. What does this mean? Now you, the consumer, have the power to experience more engaging, interactive mobile experiences with your favorite brands, retailers, publications and agencies, using only one mobile application. Digimarc’s technology enables retailers, brands, agencies and publishers to connect with consumers across all forms of media, such as: television, radio, print, packaging, digital signage, shelf labels, in-store audio and more. One of the changes you may notice in this release is that we have removed the music identification feature powered by Sony Gracenote. The music identification feature allowed us to learn valuable technical lessons and a great deal about how Digimarc Discover users interact with audio content on their mobile devices. However, we have shifted our focus from identifying song names and artist information to enabling consumers to interact with all forms of media as they navigate their individual path to purchase of products and services. The addition of audio watermark detection provides the ability to trigger new and powerful types of engagement through consumers’ mobile devices, simply by listening to enabled television and radio ads, in-store audio, digital signage and more.
