the problem isn\'t history limit, it doesn\'t actually go above ⑤⓪. The underlying issue is that the IPC queue doesn\'t have a limit, so we have a TON of IPCs queued up because of the pushState call in a loop. It just takes lots of CPU and time to process through the messages.
